ok, this is a long overdued post.. :) hehe...

anyways, the pictures are loading as quickly as i liked..so these are a few :)

HANOI!

interesting people (many trying to cheat you though, esp taxi drivers)

interesting place (just too much air pollution)

interesting food (but doesn't = nice) haha.

emm...was indeed an eye-opener. but i guess i cldn live there another day, or my lungs would be begging for mercy. haha. i nearly bought a face mask there like the locals...

another thing, i realise the true meaning of jay walking! people cross streets like nobody's business. the cars and motorbikes will give way instead.. haha.. :) and the sounding of horns can be heard the whole day!! my ears needed a break.. lol..

yet, despite all my complains, i am amazed tht people can sit n small little stools (cant fit my butt i think) along the roadsides (amidst all the noise and smoke) enjoying their coffee or a bowl of hot warm pho (noodles). didn dare to try those street stalls tht flooded the whole city in case i end up sitting in the toilet the whole day..hehe..

tht is why i looked forward to breakfast buffet at the hotel everyday! haha... eat without worry:)

my dad wanted to stay in one of those backpackers hotel for an experience (only abt US$35 per night compared to hotel nikko tht we stayed in, abt US$240)..luckily he brushed off tht idea soon after.. HAHA... so i got to enjoy the clean bed, air and food after a whole day of sightseeing in the busy city of hanoi...

ok, if anyone is curious.. nope, i am gg to stay put in spore till 16 feb, when i say hello to melb again...haha...

anyways, got to meet up with lay n janet for shopping!!:) though we didn buy lots and was complaining we wld have nothing new to wear for CNY... haha. ohoh, and i tried the hokkaido green tea and red bean ice cream for the 1st time, though fredos still my fav!!! :0

n had a nice dinner with nurul and jess at her hse yest:) finally my craving for nasi lemak is gone.

dinner with munling, jocelyn n phyllis tonight! why is everyone working, so sad, can only meet when the sun is down..haha..

n i need to get my voice back and flu gone if not no CNY goodies for me this year...:(
