frm Barcelona toValencia to Madrid to Toledo back to Barcelona...but i guess the most stressed person wld be my dad who had to plan the whole trip, from hotels to transport to itenary.. haha.. the rest of us just hope that everything went smoothly.. lol... luckily nothing really unfortunate happened besides the incident on the train where a lady tried to rob my mom, then me then my sis... she must really be unprofessional... 3 failed tries in a row.. haha... apparently Spain is infamous for all these gipsies and snatch-thieves...
14 hrs on the plane was no joke... even though i must say the entertainment on board the SQ flight was awesome! haha... movie marathon indeed.. haha..
how can u visit Spain and not shop right??hehe... yesyes!! esp when i am a fan of Zara and Mango.. hehe... every corner in the city surely u will see an outlet. plus surprisingly, Pull and Bear has several large outlets here too... another fave brand of mine!! my splurge this trip must still be hurting my parents´ pockets.. but for self consolation, it`s has been a long long time since i have shopped this much.. hehe... and i finally, after months of search, found myself another daily tote bag. i have decided to give up my dream Prada bag and settle for a more humble one... but i love it all the same... it´s time to retire my current one which is really overused (an understatement still)...hehe...
oh yes. and i watched my first flemingo dance in Madrid and my first circus performance in Valencia!! both were awesome, but the flemingo dance was not wat i expected. it was more of traditional Spanish dances which had lots of foot tapping work that made it look like tap-dancing.. i only wished there was the fan dance tht i am more familar with. maybe tht is just a misconception of flemingo dances??
the circus was cool:) bears, horses, dogs, tigers, fire, juggling, clowns, dance etc...it was held in a what used to be a bull-ring...we managed to move really close to the front cos there were empty seats.. upgraded to first class... haha..:)

Seafood Paella
i was commenting how this trip is really good for the participants of `the biggest loser´ cos the amount of walking we did was crazy... i am now ready for a marathon any time...!!haha.. exaggerating la :P but cos the weather was so cold and we did so much walking everyday, i think all of us felt our pants dropping by the day.. haha... also cos the food here is really disappointing... tradional meal include tepas, paella, lots of pastries and lots of dried meat such as ham, salami, saussages and cheese etc... but i tot i kinda love the paella, which is a kind of rice dish tht is mixed with meat or seafood and cooked on a shallow pan over fire till the rice absorbed the stock..similar to the risotto or wet fried rice i guess...each restaurant had its own variation and some werent tht great though...most of the food here are too salty which made us really thirsty. plus the tap water here is also salty! makes me appreciate the clean water we have in spore lol... haha.. apparently the water here is `hard´... lol...
anyways, we tried tepas on the first day which is what most spanish live on.. it is actually a variety of appetisers served differently by restaurants, mostly eaten with bread... they were kind of acquired taste for me.... too small portions after a whole day of walking too.. i was constantly missing my chicken rice back home..haha.. lol... sandwiches/bread were the safest bet i thought.. haha.. i cant wait for my next meal back in spore tomorrow... haha... FEED ME!!! :P but i had a few really nice meals i must say :)
hotels were good, no complaints, but the one in Madrid wldnt refund us the third night tht we initially booked for, cos we decided to take an overnight bus back to Barcelona on tht night, so we had to give tht night up...

sightseeing was not too bad, and of coz had to include the famous unfinished cathedral (for over 500 years it is still being built), the La Sagrada Familia... the aquraium in Valencia was awesome too! it looked like a building out of those science-fiction movies like starwars... hopefully i find time to put pictures up when i get back to singapore...
time for my last dinner in Spain!! they have their dinner really late here. restaurants only open for dinner at ard 830pm, and last till midnight... i guess most of us wld be starving by tht time.. haha...
bye spain and hello singapore!!
